Defensive Tactics Instructor Course (10-Days)
When: June 1, 2026- June 12, 2026
Time: 9:00-5:00 PM
This 80-hour course consists of the updated instructor level Defensive Tactics Course following the guidelines as presented in the 2023 PTC Defensive Tactics Manual. Training will be intense and all those attending should be physically fit.
Clothing and equipment requirements will be covered in the first day of classroom training. Requirements: PT attire (no zippers), mouthguard, (minimum 4 ounce) MMA style glove and headgear.
Must Pass a Mandatory PT Assessment on Day 1
Vertical Jump (15 inches, 3 attempts)
Sit-ups (28 repetitions in 1 minute or less)
300 Meter Run (70.1 Seconds or less)
Push ups (24 repetitions in 1 minute or less)
1.5 Mile run (15:55 minutes or less)
Applicants must submit a resume, which shall include previous martial arts/ wrestling training/ jiu jitsu/ kickboxing as well as past three (3) years/current training involved in. Resumes must be submitted to P.O. Jimmie Rivera at jrivera@elmwoodparknj.us
